Scaling God’s Heights, Purity and Promotion.
Unlocking Psalm 24:3-4 and the Spiritual Journey of Refinement.
Beloved friend,
Yesterday, I had the delightful opportunity to talk to a group of young girls about purity. As many of you know, I've long been an advocate for purity, but preparing for this talk led me to discover something profound, something I’m eager to share with you today.
Psalm 24:3-4 says, "Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully."
This scripture cemented a truth I've always known: God will prune a person before using them. He won’t lift someone He hasn’t refined, because doing so prematurely would be disastrous.
God is a God of process, and there are exams in the spirit. If we don’t pass these exams, we can't advance to the next stage. If we don't stay until we are thoroughly refined and purified, we just might not be exalted.
Friend, could it be that the reason you haven’t risen is because you’re still undergoing the refining process? God won't elevate someone still grappling with lust, as that would lead to tragic consequences and potentially harm others. Similarly, He won't lift someone struggling with dishonesty, greed, or pride. These impurities must be addressed, for God desires vessels of honor, ready for His use.
Look at Daniel, who proposed in his heart not to defile himself, demonstrating purity. Because of his unwavering commitment, God exalted him to a place of influence (Daniel 1:8, 6). Joseph, sold into slavery and imprisoned, maintained his righteousness until he was lifted to govern Egypt (Genesis 37-41). Their experiences reflect the essence of Psalm 24:3-4: clean hands and pure hearts are prerequisites for standing on God's holy mountain.
If we don’t step up in purity, God won’t step us up. We have to be thoroughly furnished unto every good work, tried and true, so God doesn’t release "China products" into places of influence. God wants us to be like Daniel, not just surviving but thriving, not just present but prominent.
Personally, I have always been asking God to purify my heart, as I mentioned in one of my previous newsletters. But I’ve come to normalize submitting to the refining fire. Even as I pray for uplifting and help, I ask to be purified so that I can see God and ascend His mountain.
Friends, as we climb this spiritual mountain together, let’s embrace the refining process. It's okay to laugh at our shared struggles and celebrate our growth. I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences—comment below and let’s continue this conversation.
With thoughts of kindness,
ABBA’s Shofar
Amennn
1 Peter 1:7
“I read some days back (Open Heavens), if you want to be a branch that is connected to the vine and bear fruits for GOD, you must be ready to go through a pruning process. It will be tough, but it will make you more fruitful.”
Thank you for this reminder, love to see more.
